Maj. Gen. Mark Yenter, his wife Lisa, Maj. Gen. Temple and retired Lt. Col. Ken Yenter, talk briefly before Yenter was officially promoted to the rank of major general. Yenter was nominated for the appointment in July 2011 for his qualities of patriotism, valor, fidelity, his abilities and his demonstrated potential for increased responsibility. He is authorized and directed to wear the uniform and two-star insignia of major general effective Jan. 18, 2012.
