Lance Cpl. Mike S Meese, an aviation ordnance technician with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 11, demonstrates the proper use of the M291 packets during classes before the gas chamber exercise aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Jan. 12. The packets have Xe55 amber gardin resin, which allows for the neutralization and removal of contamination, it also contains activated charcoal, resulting in the black residue left behind.
