181224-N-xx999-001 (Dec. 24, 2018) Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic's U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) team successfully repairs the OE-82 UHF satellite communications antenna system aboard USCG Cutter Douglas Munro (WHEC 724). The team endured harsh weather conditions with limited support during the Christmas holiday routine and completed all objectives, including the replacement of the cutter’s aft antenna and the repair of the forward antenna slip ring assembly at Dutch Harbor, Alaska, located in the Aleutian Islands 1,200 miles off Alaska's mainland.
