Marines and sailors with Charlie Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, discover a simulated weapons cache while conducting the last training raid of their Realistic Urban Training exercise near Farmville, Va., Jan. 19, 2012. The culminating training exercise tested the 24th MEU's abilities to integrate all the tools of the Marine Air Ground Task Force to neutralize a mock terrorist training camp. The RUT exercise consists of training missions conducted at off-base locations in unfamiliar terrain, which will prepare and certify the Marines and sailors of the 24th MEU for the various operations they may conduct during their upcoming deployment.
