A British soldier assigned to the Training Team Brigade fires a Portuguese G3 assault rifle during a cross-training exercise at the Besmaya Range Complex, Iraq, Feb. 21, 2019. The Portuguese, Spanish, and British soldiers traded weapons for this training to build camaraderie between the countries stationed together at Besmaya. The Coalition trainers offer courses in areas as diverse as operational planning, counter-terrorism, logistics and sustainment, equipment maintenance, counter-IED techniques and law enforcement.
