Maj. Chad Lewis was promoted to Lt. Col. Jan. 17 in a ceremony at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. The presiding official was Brig. Gen. Leslie Smith, commander 20th Support Command (CBRNE), where Lewis is assigned as an information operations planner. Lewis was raised in Dayton, Ohio, graduated from Sycamore High School in Cincinnati, and Howard University in Washington. His wife, Army Capt. Francine Crawley, of Mount Union, Penn. helped pin on his new rank.
