190301-N-RF885-002 CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA (March 1, 2019) Sailors assigned to the future USS Charleston (LCS 18) raise the American flag during morning colors while moored at Charleston’s Columbus Street Pier. LCS 18 will be the sixteenth littoral combat ship to enter the fleet and the ninth of the Independence variant.
