U.S. Army Soldiers with 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, conduct pre-inspections and cleaning on 240H medium machine guns in preparation for an aerial gunnery range March 5, 2019 at Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria. 3-1 AHB recently began a rotation in Romania to support Atlantic Resolve, a joint NATO commitment to build readiness and enhance the bond between allied and partner nations through multinational training.
Maintenance is important to ensure that weapon systems remain ready to be used efficiently when called upon and fired properly and effectively, said Spc. Levy Streeks, a UH-60 Blackhawk repairer with 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division.
