    85th Support Command

    Brig. Gen. Kris A. Belanger, right, Commanding General, 85th U.S. Army Reserve Support Command, briefly meets with Staff Sgt. Alexander Lopez, 91B, (Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic) assigned to 1st Battalion, 382nd Regiment, 85th U.S. Army Reserve Support Command, operationally controlled by First Army’s 5th Armored Brigade, at Fort Bliss, Texas, March 1-3, 2019. Belanger traveled to Fort Bliss, with her newly appointed command sergeant major, Dewitt, to meet with her battalion commanders and Soldiers, to visit training facilities and to discuss her vision and the way ahead for the command within the shared multi-component partnership with First Army. Belanger additionally conducted a town hall session with all of her observer coach/trainers that are currently mobilized to Fort Bliss to support and ensure the readiness of mobilizing and deploying forces. The mission of the 1-382 Logistic Support Battalion is to provide logistical support and theater-focused training support to 5th Armored Brigade and Joint, Active or Reserve Component units in order to improve readiness and prepare Soldiers and leaders for deployment into theaters of war.
