A UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter with 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, flies to the next target during an aerial gunnery range at Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria, March 6, 20193-1 AHB recently began a rotation in Romania to support Atlantic Resolve, a joint NATO commitment to build readiness and enhance the bond between allied and partner nations through multinational training.
Aerial gunnery assures that units remain ready to transporting troops while also protecting them from possible hostiles, said SPC Matthew Pierce, a UH-60 Blackhawk repairer with 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division.
