The Texas Department of Public Safety Director, Steven McGraw, awarded three Texas National Guard Joint Counterdrug Task Force service members with the highest award given to people outside of the DPS organization. The counterdrug task force members provided vital tactical emergency casualty care training allowing DPS troopers the ability to save lives in the field. The ongoing partnership between DPS and Counterdrug continues to grow becoming the premiere force to detect, interdict and disrupt drug manufacturing and trafficking along the border and throughout the State of Texas.
