Lynn Cox, with the North Carolina National Guard's 626th Supply Maintenance Company, 113th Sustainment Brigade, navigates over, then under, wood beams during the obstacle course while her sponsor, Staff Sgt. Donald Hill, also with the 626th, guides and encourages her, at the North Carolina Best Warrior Competition March 5, 2019, at the Camp Butner Training Center in Stem, North Carolina.
The competition, held March 4-7, 2019, tests the mental and physical strength of enlisted Soldiers and Noncommissioned Officers through several events including an Army physical fitness test, a 12-mile ruck march, an obstacle course, an essay, weapon qualification, and many other events.
