Marines with Wing Support Squadron-271 (MWSS-271), stand by to leave Combat Outpost Rawah (COP Rawah) after completing three new landing zones on COP Rawah, June 15. The landing zones are used as visual aid of where to land and to minimize the amount of dust stirred up when landing. MWSS-271 is deployed with Multi National Forces-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
