Nao Yoshikawa, Director, Operations and Plans Department, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Sasebo District, and Capt. Marvin Thompson, deputy commander of Amphibious Force 7th Fleet, observe a moment of silence at a commemoration for the 2011 Great Tohoku Earthquake. This year marks the eighth anniversary of the disaster and CFAS honored the victims with a ceremony that was attended by members of the CFAS community.
