Prior to the new concealed carry law going into effect March 11, 2019, gate guards at entry control points throughout Fort Knox identified undeclared weapons an average about 10-15 times a month. Law enforcement officials warn motorists that there can be stiff penalties for repeated offenses, including being barred from entry to all military installations.
