Michael Chambers, a probationary firefighter with the Miramar Fire Department and a Santee, Calif., native, stabilizes an overturned car using a Rescue 42 stabilizer during a mock exercise aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Jan. 27. The academy conducted a final evaluation consisting of physical fitness, hazardous materials, emergency medical services and vehicle extrication for two new cadets approaching graduation.
