(March 9, 2019) Utilitiesman Constructionman John Manhart, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5 (NMCB-5), uses pliers to cut barbed wire on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California as part of Exercise Pacific Blitz (PacBlitz19). NMCB-5 provides support to 1st Marine Logistics Group in the establishment and maintenance of advanced naval bases. PacBlitz19 provides relevant training that replicates a realistic maritime threat environment designed to improve naval amphibious core competencies necessary for effective, global crisis response expected of the Navy and Marine Corps.
