PACIFIC OCEAN (March 12, 2019) - Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Mervin Pile directs the mooring of a Landing Craft Utility (LCU) in the well deck of USS New Orleans (LPD 18) during exercise Pacific Blitz 19. Pacific Blitz is a scenario-driven joint exercise that provides relevant training by replicating a realistic maritime threat environment designed to challenge and improve amphibious capabilities necessary for effective global crisis response.
