Cpl. Bryan M. Mumper, a Marine Expeditionary Airfield Technician with Marine Wing Support Squadron-271 (MWSS-271), use an air compressor to remove debris and sand from the matting on the new landing zones aboard Combat Outpost Ellis (COP Ellis). The new landing zones assist pilots as visual aids of where to land and minimize the amount of dust stirred up when landing. MWSS-271 is deployed with Multi National Forces-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
