PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Mar. 14, 2019) Senior Chief Dave Jackson, from Denver, Colorado, and his daughter show visitors onboard the USS Requin (SS 481) how to use the dive alarm. Jackson is stationed on the nuclear-powered Los Angeles-class, fast-attack submarine USS Pittsburgh (SSN 720) and visited the Requin at the Carnegie Science Center with other crewmembers. Pittsburgh crewmembers are participating in various events around Pittsburgh to bring awareness to the U.S. Navy's mission. The Navy's fast-attack submarines are designed to seek and destroy enemy submarines and surface ships; deliver missiles and special operations forces ashore; conduct intelligence operations; and engage in mine warfare. Pittsburgh is the fourth Navy ship to be named for the city of Pittsburgh. (U.S. Navy photo by Lt. Joe Painter/Released)
