ARABIAN GULF (March 18, 2019) Interior Communications Electrician 2nd Class Gerardo Zavala performs maintenance on a rigid hull inflatable boat aboard the Cyclone-class coastal patrol ship USS Thunderbolt (PC 12). Thunderbolt is forward deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
