    Soldiers from the 553rd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas, train for Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) during a III Corps Command Post Exercise at Fort Hood, Texas, Mar. 19-21, 2019. This training by the III Corps is in preparation for its upcoming DSCA mission beginning in June. They comprises a portion of the 5,200-person Defense Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Response Force with a mission to save lives, mitigate human suffering, and facilitate recovery operations in the event of a catastrophic CBRN event in the United States.
