Certified with the personal handwritten touch... Naval
Hospital Bremerton certified nurses were acknowledged for their specialized
achievements with Certified Nurses Day on March 19, 2018. Lt. Steffany
Mattson affixes her signature next to her certification in Certified Post
Anesthesia Care. The event is an annual worldwide event dedicated to
celebrating those nurses for their attaining specialized certification as a
means to ensure high standards of patient care and to promote continuing
excellence in the nursing profession. Mattson, a Idaho Fall, Idaho native
and Bonneville High School 2004 graduate, is also adding to her credentials.
She was selected on March 10, 2019, for the Navy's Perioperative Nurse
Training Program, a highly sought-after and challenging assignment - and
nursing specialty - to prepare a registered nurse like Mattson to work in
both inpatient and outpatient settings providing highly technical and
critical patient-centered care to those in need (Official Navy photo by
