Lt. Gen. Christopher Cavoli, the Commanding General of U.S. Army Europe, presents Soldiers from 2nd Brigade, 1st Armored Division out of Fort Bliss, Texas, with coins for their hard work and dedication to the mission as they participate in a deployment readiness exercise at Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area, Poland, March 21.
About 1,500 Soldiers will deploy to Europe in support of the exercise to test the U.S. Army's ability to rapidly alert, recall, and deploy under emergency conditions.
U.S. forces deployed to Europe in support of Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise Dynamic Force Deployment is evidence of the strong and unremitting U.S. commitment to NATO and Europe. Through continuous, multinational training and security cooperation activities, the exercise builds readiness, increases interoperability and enhances the bond between ally and partner militaries.
