Jeffrey Harrigian, U.S. Air Forces in Europe Air Forces Africa deputy commander, during a press conference at RAF Fairford, March 19, 2019, regarding a Bomber Task Force Europe deployment. The contingent of B-52 aircraft, Airmen and support equipment is currently deployed from the 2nd Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, La., to support the BTF. The deployment of strategic bombers to the U.K. helps exercise RAF Fairford as USAFE-AFAFRICA's forward-operating location for bombers.
