A field training exercise demonstration was held March 27, 2019, near Tan Tan, Morocco, as part of exercise African Lion 2019. The demonstration coincided with a visit from Maj. Gen. Roger L. Cloutier, the U.S. Army Africa commanding general, and Moroccan Maj. Gen. Belkhir El Farouk, the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces chief of the Southern Zone Headquarters.
