190314-N-LL146-1254 ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 14, 2018) Chief Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) Ryan McCartney, assigned to the “Tridents” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 9, fires a .50-caliber machine gun from an MH-60S Seahawk at a practice target during exercise Savage Ice. Savage Ice is an exercise conducted by Helicopter Sea Combat Weapons School Atlantic that allows squadrons the opportunity to practice engaging moving targets.
