April is designated as the Month of the Military Child, highlighting the important role military children play in the armed forces community. It is a time to recognize military families and their children for the sacrifices they make, the resilience they display and the challenges they overcome. Today we highlight the Kania family. Master Sgt. Derek Kania serves as a security forces squadron superintendent and his wife, Tech. Sgt. Cathleen Kania serves as a security forces specialist, both assigned to the 180th Fighter Wing.
