Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Airman Amadou Diallo signals a CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter assigned to the Red Dragons of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 268 (Reinforced) to turn off its engine on the flight deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans. New Orleans and embarked Marines assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are deployed as part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
