Kathy Bond, a program analyst with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District, listens intently to a guest speaker who shared a deeply personal story about a suicide attempt and living with mental illness. Bond and hundreds of employees and Soldiers took part in the district’s annual Safety Day event at the Grand Ballroom in Sacramento, Calif., on March 26.
Following Suicide Awareness and Prevention training, the event hosts provided useful safety information for audience members to use at work, and emphasized the importance of everyone taking responsibility for ensuring a safe and healthy workplace. (U.S. Army photo by Ken Wright)
