Frank Ochello, 47th Operations Group T-6A Texan II simulator instructor pilot, has been serving as a simulation instructor at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, for 16 years. Impressed by each and every student who graduates with their wings, Ochello believes there are no short cuts to becoming an Air Force pilot. “These students are truly the cream of the crop of their generation,” Ochello said. “I’m grateful our country still produces such men and women who want to serve.” (U.S Air Force graphic by Anne McCready)
