U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Robert Norton and Philippine Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Bennett S. Tacastacas form the epoxy mixture to the training pile at Sangley Point Air Base, San Antonio, Cavite City, Cavite, Philippines, during PileMedic training as a part of Exercise Balikatan, April 4, 2019. Balikatan, in its 35th iteration, provides the opportunity for the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. forces to exchange best practices and procedures in order to increase interoperability and strengthen multilateral relationships. Norton, a native of Eagan, Minnesota, is a construction mechanic with Underwater Construction Team 2, 30th Naval Construction Regiment, in Port Hueneme, California.
