An F/A-18F Super Hornet, assigned to the "Black Knights" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 154, is directed to a catapult prior to launching from the flight deck of Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). Stennis and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9 are on a scheduled deployment in support of the global war on terrorism and maritime operations, June 29.
