U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Matthew Prouse hands school supplies to Jamyca, a student from Sapang Bato Elementary School, at Clark Air Base, Philippines, April 6, 2019, during an Exercise Balikatan community relations event. Balikatan is an annual exercise between the U.S. and the Philippines and comes from a Tagalog phrase meaning "shoulder-to-shoulder," representing the partnership between the two countries. Humanitarian and civic assistance activities enable our service members to get to know each other and provide support to local communities. Prouse, a native of Roseville, California, is a radio frequency transmissions specialist with the 23rd Combat Communications Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Sadie Colbert)
