IZMIR, Turkey – Italian Army Gen. Riccardo Marchio, Commander of Joint Force Command Brunssum, returns the salute from the Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) Honor Guard when he arrived March 12, 2019, at LANDCOM Headquarters in Izmir, Turkey. LANDCOM is hosting the bi-annual LANDCOM Corps Commanders’ Conference involving the senior leaders from the NATO Command and Force Structures to develop a shared visualization of the role of the Land Forces and to discuss emergent challenges. These important land topic discussions strengthen the Alliance between the various units and benefits the citizens of the NATO member nations as the Alliance becomes more interoperable increasing the proficiency of the collective defense.
