Pacific Partnership 2019 Malaysia: Flooding Field Training Exercise

    190407-N-UY393-0445

KUCHING, Malaysia (April 7,2019) – Malaysian first responders and Royal Air Force Reserves Flight Lieutenant John Carolan-Cullion, lift a civilian with simulated injuries from a boat during a field training exercise as part of Pacific Partnership 2019. The event gives local civil response units an opportunity to practice their reaction to a simulated flood disaster with the assistance of partner nation military personnel. Pacific Partnership, now in its 14th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Each year the mission team works collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security and stability in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
