USS Tortuga overtakes the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown during a division tactic exercise involving Germantown, Tortuga, the Royal Thai Navy ships HTMS Bang Rachan and HTMS Surin and Republic of Korea ship Hyangnobong Feb. 14. Germantown, with embarked elements of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently underway in support of Cobra Gold an annual recurring multinational and multiservice exercise co-hosted by the Royal Kingdom of Thailand and the U.S. designed to increase interoperability with participating nations by training as a multinational force that shares common goals and security commitments in the Asia-Pacific region.
