CAMP BEUHRING, Kuwait (April 9, 2019) U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Kevin Chavez, a Marine with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, Maritime Raid Force, fires an AT4-CS confined space light anti-armor weapon at a target during a rocket range as part of a MEU exercise. The Marines participated in the range to build and sharpen their skills in order to maintain combat readiness. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd MEU and Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group are currently deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
