ALCOCHETE, PORTGUAL (April 4, 2019) – U.S. Marines with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, fire M240B medium machineguns, and Portuguese Fuzeleiros fire MG3 medium machineguns at a machinegun familiarization range during Instruction Exercise (INSTREX) at the Alcochete Firing Range in Alcochete, Portugal, April 4, 2019. Elements from the 22nd MEU are participating in INSTREX in order to sustain combat readiness, execute amphibious operations, demonstrate interoperability and continue a strong partner relationship with our NATO ally.
