Female police officers receive and try on issued boots at the Forsan Police Station in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. Female Iraqi Police officers received their initial gear issue, conducted basic weapon handling techniques and escalation of force drills provided by Marines with 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines [2-5], 3rd Infantry Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force. 2-5 is deployed with Multi National Forces-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
