A Palauan law enforcement officers walk to their targets after firing M-4 rifles at a range on the outskirts of Koror, Palau April 15, 2019, during Exercise Palau. Law enforcement officers from all different jurisdictions in Palau received pistol marksmanship training and weapons familiarization from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Soldiers from 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 1-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division, provided range support for the event. Exercise Palau is part of Pacific Pathways, an annual U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) operation, demonstrating the U.S. Army’s commitment to the Palau nation, and security cooperation for a free and open Indo-Pacific. The exercise will run from the 13th - 19th, and will include several security cooperation training events as well as community and animal health outreach services at several sites including Koror, Peleliu and Angaur.
