190328-N-ZZ999-001 SAN DIEGO (March 28, 2019) Donovan Houston, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic systems engineer and Daniel Hess, NIWC Atlantic lead systems engineer stand in front of one of the thousands of data gathering devices that make up the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE) industrial control system on the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) San Diego Defense Fuel Support Point (DFSP) - Point Loma fuel pier. NIWC Atlantic employees updated the SCADA AFHE system and integrated the industrial control system devices on the fuel pier for 24/7 SCADA control. The NIWC Atlantic industrial control systems and applications (ICS&A) team designs industrial control systems that reduce vulnerabilities, minimize consequences, identify and disrupt threats, and hasten response and recovery efforts.
