Kimo Williams, electric guitarist, rocks out, along with members of the Lt. Dan Band, during a United Services Organization-sponsored concert for service members and their families at Dewey Square on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Feb. 11. “One thing I’ve seen dozens and hundreds of times when playing for the troops is the smiles on their faces,” said Gary Sinise, actor and bass guitarist. “This is a fully loaded, high energy fun show. It’s really designed for the people we’re playing for. I just don’t want to come out and play cover tunes; I want the audience to interact with the band and have a great time.” The band covered classic songs from bands such as Lynyrd Skynyrd and Journey, and contemporary songs from artists such as Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce.
