Chief Petty Officer William Partington, a boatswain's mate from the U.S. Coast Guard International Training Division, conducts small boat operations subject matter exchanges with personnel from the Belize national coast guard, Belize defense force and the Belize police force off the coast, near Belize City, June 13. Task Group 40.9 is deployed to the Caribbean basin and Central America as part of the pilot Global Fleet Station (GFS). The mission is designed to validate the GFS concept for the Navy and support U.S. Southern Command objectives for its area of responsibility by enhancing cooperative partnerships with regional maritime services and improving operational readiness for the participating partner nations.
