Two Georgian soldiers from Alpha Company, Georgian 23rd Light Infantry Battalion remain vigilant from the top of a watchtower immediately after the unit’s combat outpost was attacked by enemy insurgents (portrayed by U.S. Army soldiers from 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment) using indirect and scout sniper fire during part of a mission rehearsal exercise at Joint Multinational Readiness Center Hohenfels, Germany, Feb. 18. The 23rd Georgian Light Infantry Battalion is preparing to support counterinsurgency operations in Afghanistan as part of Georgia Deployment Program - International Security Assistance Force.
