Vince Costello, Rare Snail Conservation Specialist with the U.S. Army Garrison's Oahu Army Natural Resources Program returns an endangered Hawaiian Tree Snail back into its natural environment, Feb. 8, 2012, Members of the OANRP teamed up with the Hawaiian Tree Snail Conservation at the University of Hawaii lab, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to help save endangered species of plant and animals on U.S. Army training ranges through out the Hawaiian Islands. The OANRP put up fences and monitor populations in some of the most secluded areas and are recognized as the Secretary of the Army's 2011 "Natural Recourse Conservation Team."
