A CH-53E Sea Stallion from Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 463 lands aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard while the ship is pierside at Naval Base San Diego. Bonhomme Richard is preparing to replace the amphibious assault ship USS Essex as the forward deployed amphibious assault ship in Sasebo, Japan and will deliver the squadron of CH-53Es to Kaneohe, Hawaii, along the way.
