U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. John Wimmer conducts tactical site exploitation during a company raid exercise on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, April 24, 2019. When conducting tactical site exploitation, Marines gather enemy intelligence such as maps or notebooks. This dry fire raid was conducted to familiarize Marines in building clearing techniques and fine tune their urban combat training. Wimmer, a native of Bluefield, W. Va., is a anti-tank missileman with Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment through the Unit Deployment Program.
