    Pacific Partnership 2019 Timor-Leste: Beach Clean-Up

    190426-N-UY393-0432

DILI, Timor-Leste (April 26, 2019) – U.S. Navy Capt. Randy Van Rossum, mission commander of Pacific Partnership 2019 (PP19), celebrates with Timorese citizens and PP19 personnel during a band performance after a beach clean-up operation at Cristo Rei of Dili. These engagements strengthen cooperation and friendship between Pacific Partnership 2019 participants and Timor-Leste. Pacific Partnership, now in its 14th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Each year the mission team works collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security and stability in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
