USA Wrestling, a representative of the United States Olympic Committee, is the central organization that coordinates amateur wrestling programs throughout the nation. The partnership between the US Marine Corps and USA Wrestling originated through shared principles such as discipline, physical fitness, aggressive attitude, and mental and physical toughness. The Marine Corps continues to support USA Wrestling to increase awareness and positive perception of the Corps while also informing athletes of opportunities they may have by serving in the force. “I’d really like to acknowledge and congratulate all the competitors, win or lose, for making the decision to sign up and show up to this event,” Fallon said. “We all know it takes a special type of person to have the courage to walk to the center of these mats, put their toe on the line, and put it all on the line.” (US Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
